I don’t have the instructions in written down, but I have an Excel spreadsheeet. Type in the height you want and it tells you all the parts you need. Unfortunately, I just clicked on the link for where I got the wheels and they no longer sell them. That was the hardest part for me to find – so you’ll have to do a lot of googling on ‘plastic blow molded wheels’. But, I’ll go ahead an email the spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet I have wouldn’t help with making a walker for an adult. The spreadsheet is based on using 3/4 inch pipe and a sink trap for the front handles, but for an adult I would definitely use at least 1-1/4″. And, I would change the design, too. For example, look at the picture for https://jenmadeit.com/2015/03/02/bryan-made-it/. They added to the stiffness by putting in extra pipe on the sides – I would do that on the sides and the back for an adult. Also, you could just use 90 degree elbows for the front legs like in this picture… https://jenmadeit.com/2014/12/08/meet-johnathan/. So, you’d need to buy 3-ways, 4-ways, a couple T’s, elbows and then the pipe itself. If I were you, I’d draw a picture of it, then put in the dimensions to get to the height you’d need for your mom. Then it’s just a matter of cutting the lengths of the pipe and putting it together. (Don’t forget to drill holes in it if she’s going to go walk into the pool). Then I’d test it out and make sure it was sturdy enough before handing it off to an elderly mother !! And if it isn’t sturdy enough — scrap it…

My name is Liz rice and I have a daughter with cerebral palsy. She is able to walk but does use a walker from time to time. I am mostly interested in your PVC Walker because I have a friend who is a missionary in Mozambique Africa and they are in desperate need of simple, pediatric walkers. I’m wondering if you could give me your source for buying the big tires for your current Walker design? These walkers would be going to very rural villages where the train and the ground is very rough. How do you think they would fear in that kind of environment? My husband and I are hoping to send your design to my friend in Africa to help many locals. It’s much more lightweight and easier than all of the metal walkers that are out there. Thanks so much for your creativity.
